The Thai Washington Association Merit Scholarship Award

Please help spread the words about the Thai Washington Association Merit Scholarship Award (TAWA MESA). 2016 application is due October 30, 2015.
 
The Thai Washington Association Merit Scholarship Award was established to provide financial help to undergraduate students attending colleges or universities in Washington State.
 
Qualifications
  • Applicants must be graduating high school senior admitted to or currently attending undergraduate programs in colleges or universities in Washington State.
  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate Thai community involvement
  • US Citizen and living in Washington State for minimum of 90 days.
  • Applicants must be Thai descendants.
Award
  • Non-renewal and non-transferable grant.
  • Available to all areas of study.
  • Awards are disbursed directly to specific colleges or universities.
  • Ongoing academic progress reports may be required.
Completing Application
Complete application must be submitted with the followings;
  • Academic records, i.e., transcripts, test scores.
  • Letter of acceptance
  • Three Letters of reference
  • Personal essay
  • Personal interview
  • Application for 2016 Spring - Summer Quarter can be submitted by October 31, 2015.
Decision will be notified no later than November 30, 2015.
 
Financial Assistance
  • Each student may receive award up to $1,000 per academic year.
  • The total amount of fund available for assistance is determined annually by the TAWA Board of Directors based on certain percentage of operating budget.  
  • Applications will be reviewed and approved by the Educational Committee.
